Ajit Nagral, Chairman

Ajit Nagral is a serial entrepreneur who founded Megaware in 1991 - a software products and services company providing solutions to life science companies and instrumentation vendors, and later founded NuGenesis Technologies in 1996 - an industry leader in Scientific Data Management Systems. Ajit co-authored the patent for NuGenesis' core technology and was instrumental in driving its growth. Ajit took NuGenesis from incorporation to an installed base of over 250 pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers globally and successfully led its acquisition by Waters Corporation (NYSE: WAT) in 2004.

Dinesh Thakur, CEO & President

Dinesh Thakur spent over 11 years at Bristol-Myers Squibb in USA and was the Director of Discovery Informatics. Dinesh subsequently led the informatics strategy at one of India's largest generics manufacturers - Ranbaxy - in his capacity as R&D Chief Information Officer and Head of Portfolio Management. Prior to co-founding Sciformix, Dinesh served as Vice President and Head of Life Sciences and Healthcare with overall responsibility for new business development and services delivery at Infosys BPO.

Chitra Lele, Chief Scientific Officer

Chitra Lele was with Pfizer for about 10 years, where she was Executive Director responsible for India operations of Pfizer Global R&D. Chitra established India's first Biometrics Center providing services in clinical data management, statistics, programming and medical writing, and successfully grew it to a size of over 400 staff. Chitra has a Ph.D in Statistics from Stanford University and her prior experience includes work as a biostatistician in cancer epidemiology at Stanford University and University of California, San Francisco and as a faculty member at the School of Statistics at the University of Minnesota and IIT, Mumbai.

Gopakumar Menon, Vice President, Business Development

Gopakumar Menon has over 19 years of experience in global service delivery and has been in Life Sciences domain for the last eight years. He has been instrumental in driving sizable business development success for leading companies such as Cognizant Technologies. He brings rich experience in acquiring and developing global customers in the pharmaceutical industry and has helped grow multi-geography P&Ls, leveraging global delivery capabilities in India, China and Latin America for various global Life Sciences customers.

Sidney N. Kahn, Senior Principal, Pharmacovigilance Practice

Dr Sidney Kahn’s professional credentials include MB, ChB (Cape Town), Ph.D. (London), FRCPath (Chemical Pathology), and MFPM. His academic career spanned 17 years in clinical laboratory medicine and basic research in neuroimmunology in the UK and USA. He spent the next 13 years at Bristol-Myers Squibb and Johnson & Johnson managing drug safety groups responsible for safety assessment of medicinal products throughout their lifecycle before establishing Pharmacovigilance & Risk Management Inc. in 2002. Throughout his industry career, he was actively involved in US and global activities to enhance pharmacovigilance, risk assessment, and risk management, including PhRMA representation to ICH on MedDRA EWGs (M1, MedDRA MSSO Technical Evaluation Panel, Points to Consider), the U.S. National Coordinating Council for Medication Error Reporting and Prevention, the PhRMA/FDA Electronic Regulatory Submissions Task Force, and the ICH Post-Marketing EWG. He was a member of the CIOMS-VI WG, a MedDRA MSSO Blue Ribbon Panel, and the HL7 SPL Implementation Workgroup. Dr. Kahn is a frequent presenter at conferences and workshops in the USA and Europe on all aspects of pharmacovigilance, risk management, and labelling.
