Manish Soman, former President & CEO of Sciformix Corporation, has over 21 years of quality experience in heading overall IT Operations encompassing Program/Project Management, Consulting Services, Systems Development & Implementation as well as Business Operations (Sales, New Business Set ups, Corporate Governance & Inorganic/Organic Growth) and has managed P&L’s and Balance Sheets for over 9 years. He has held leadership positions across multiple geographies. His past experience includes tenures as CEO & Managing Director of Deloitte India, Global Business Leader for IT at Genpact (a GE company), COO for Patni Computers and Director for BestShore operations in EMEA region for HP Enterprise Services.
Ajit Nagral, Founder
Former Executive Chairman and Board of Director of Sciformix Corporation, Ajit Nagral is a serial entrepreneur who has built multiple companies in the Life Science and Technology domain that have generated hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue over their lifetime. Mr. Nagral has created sustainable market brands that continue to lead, innovate and deliver critical value to the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries. In 2007, Mr. Nagral co-founded Sciformix Corporation. Prior to Sciformix, Mr. Nagral founded NuGenesis Technologies Corporation, a company that became a worldwide leader in Scientific Data Management and was acquired by Waters Corporation (NYSE: WAT) a multi-billion dollar Life Science company. Prior to NuGenesis, Mr. Nagral founded Megaware, Inc. in 1991, a critical provider of Software and IT Services to the Life Science industry. Mr. Nagral is a Charter Member of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) and served on the Board of Trustees of TiE Mumbai. Mr. Nagral is an active investor and advisor to several startups.
Chitra Lele, Chief Scientific Officer
Chitra Lele has a distinguished academic background with a PhD in Statistics from Stanford University, and over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to the inception of Sciformix, Chitra was with Pfizer for 10 years, where she was Executive Director responsible for India operations of Pfizer Global R&D. Chitra established India’s first Biometrics Center providing services in clinical data management, statistics, programming and medical writing, and successfully grew it to a size of over 400 staff. Chitra’s previous experience includes work as a biostatistician in cancer epidemiology at Stanford University and University of California, San Francisco and as a faculty member at the School of Statistics, University of Minnesota and the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai.
Warun Nayar, Chief Operations Officer
Warun Nayar joined Sciformix as its Chief Operations Officer in April 2015 and spearheads the delivery, practice management, HR, IT and administration functions. After a long tenure in the Army, his first corporate job was with Cambridge Technology Partners, a Boston based system integration and consulting company. He spent 14 years at GE Capital International Services (GECIS) which was later rebranded as Genpact and held leadership positions vital in augmenting the growth story of the company. His last role was in Tokyo as Hitachi Operations Lead at Genpact Japan Business Services. Warun holds an engineering degree in Electronics & Telecom, a Masters from IIT Delhi in Computer Science and an MBA in Operational Research.
David Balderson, Global Vice President Safety Operations
Throughout his career, David has been a key driver of process improvement initiatives, from the development of processes to support the EU Clinical Trial Directive implementation (2004), through to the development of an electronic interface between the clinical trial and safety databases. Prior to joining Sciformix David he held senior leadership roles at Amgen US, first as Head of Global Safety Operations and then as Head of Global Regulatory Operations. David spent 7 years in Pharmacovigilance at GSK in the UK. David holds a BSc in Physiology and Pharmacology and PhD in Neuroscience, both from the University of Manchester, UK.
Susan Najjar, Head of Global Marketing and US Operations
Susan Najjar has over 25 years of industry experience with several years in senior leadership and consulting positions. Susan oversaw global marketing activities for Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Informatics division, developing growth strategies and implementing innovative marketing programs. Prior to Thermo, she was accountable for: establishing the Gillette Company’s North American Blades and Razors forecasting & planning; executing software product launches at Sun Microsystems; and consulting senior pharmaceutical executive teams at Deloitte & Touche. Susan has an MS in Biochemical Engineering from Tufts University and MBA from MIT Sloan.
