Chitra Lele, Chief Scientific Officer
Chitra Lele has a distinguished academic background with a PhD in Statistics from Stanford University, and over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to the inception of Sciformix, Chitra was with Pfizer for 10 years, where she was Executive Director responsible for India operations of Pfizer Global R&D. Chitra established India’s first Biometrics Center providing services in clinical data management, statistics, programming and medical writing, and successfully grew it to a size of over 400 staff. Chitra’s previous experience includes work as a biostatistician in cancer epidemiology at Stanford University and University of California, San Francisco and as a faculty member at the School of Statistics, University of Minnesota and the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai.
Supriya Desai, Director, Medical Safety Operations
Supriya Desai, M.D. (Pharmacology) oversees Medical Safety Operations (MSO) at Sciformix. Supriya joined Sciformix from DiagnoSearch Life Sciences, a global full-service CRO, where she spearheaded the operations of the medical and safety monitoring, medical writing and consultancy team over a period of 5 years. Immediately prior to this, she played a pivotal role in setting up the Document Operations in Clinical (DOC) team at Novartis, supervising over 20 plus staff in medical and scientific writing. Her prior work experience includes being medical advisor at Siro Clinpharm and clinical practice in general medicine, pediatrics and pathology. In her current role at Sciformix, she provides scientific and operational leadership to the team of physicians involved in medical review activities across pharmacovigilance, surveillance and scientific writing, spanning diverse therapeutic areas.
Bindu Narang oversees Sciformix’s scientific writing and regulatory affairs business. Bindu is a seasoned pharma professional, and has over 25 years experience working both with pharmaceutical companies, and CROs. In addition she has worked in diverse platforms, including print, online, and multimedia, and has extensive medical copy and text editing experience. As head of the Mumbai regulatory writing group for Pfizer, she helped set up a matrix regulatory writing organization in 2004. Bindu has also set up and worked closely with publishing groups using eCTD submission tools and software. Bindu holds a Masters degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Medicinal Chemistry).
Suhasini Sharma, Director, Medical Affairs
Dr. Suhasini Sharma is a physician with specialization in Pharmacology. She has over 25 years of experience working with Indian and multinational pharmaceutical companies during the course of which she has headed Medical Affairs and handled medical information, medico-marketing, clinical research, drug safety and medical writing. Dr Sharma has also managed and overseen clinical trial operations (including a central ECG lab) for a global CRO, and an SMO.
At Sciformix she provides clinical/medical expertise to projects across service areas in drug safety, scientific writing and clinical operations. She contributes to scientific activities of the company including internal knowledge building and training. With her knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and the relevant global regulations governing various aspects of drug development, approval, safety and product promotion, Dr. Sharma brings value to the services delivered to Sciformix’s global customers.
